Talking about beaches, Gujarat is blessed with a coastline of about 1,600 km and is surrounded by the Arabian Sea. Amongst all the beaches that reside on this coastline, Beyt Dwarka is the most beautiful one with a blend of yellow sand and turquoise blue water.
Looking at such beach vibes, please don’t mistake it with Goa, but packing should be done according to an adventure camp. To avoid your confusion about what to pack, we here already have a list that you can refer to and make your packing easier.
So let’s dive into the checklist, so you can have a hassle-free beach camping experience.
1. Clothing:
Full sleeves and woolen clothes: Being on a beach for a whole day requires skin protection as the sun is very harsh on the coastal area. So carrying full sleeves is a must and do not forget woolen wear too. As this camping is done during the winter season, the night could shiver you up with its cold breeze.
Pair of clothes: Based on your 2 or 3-day camping option pack your pair of clothes accordingly.
So if you have opted for a 2-day camp then you need to carry 2-3 pairs of clothes. Whereas the person who has opted for a 3-day camp, then 3-4 pairs of clothes should be packed.
Swimwear or shorts: Don’t forget to take an extra pair as you might bathe on the beach. You can also carry your swimwear or shorts which you can change in the changing room and then dive into the blues.
Towel: When you are done swimming inshore, you will need to dry yourself too. So do pack your towel in the bag.
2. Footwear:
Avoid shoes: People often make the mistake of carrying sports shoes to this camp. Undoubtedly this is an adventure camp, but don’t forget that this camping doesn’t have any hiking activity. So you can carry your shoes for traveling purposes but refrain from wearing them on the beach. As if it gets wet then it won’t dry up so easily.
Sandal/Chapal: We highly recommend you to carry sandals or chapal which will prove to be very comfortable for your beach stroll. We would also suggest you waterproof sandals from Decathlon which are best for such camping.
3. Bedding:
Thin blanket: It is important for you to understand that what you are going for is an adventure camp so only the basic necessity would be provided at the campsite. This include mattress and tents. Other than this if you require something to cover yourself at the night then do carry a thin blanket with you.
Pillow: If you have the habit of a pillow, then you can carry a refillable pillow with you. If not this then our local pillow hack is always there to help us out. And that is, using a bag or cloth as a pillow.
4. Sun Protection:
Sun Screen: The coastline is sunnier than inland as it receives more sun, which can prove to be very harsh on your skin. So to protect your skin from UV rays applying sunscreen is very important.
Sun gears: To avoid sun radiation, carry a cap or a round hat. Goggles or sunglasses are important for these camps.
5. Camp Essentials:
Water bottle: To keep yourself hydrated it is very important for you to carry a water bottle.
Mug and spoon: During breakfast time you will require a mug and spoon for the snacks.
Lunch Box: For your meals, you require a lunch box to get the food. Also for Dolphin Exploration, we will provide a packed lunch to you, so for that, you require the lunch box.
6. Personal Essentials:
You can carry the required amount of cash with you, what you feel necessary. If not cash then you also have the option of an ATM card. As the facility of ATM is also available near to the campsite. Apart from this, you can carry your personal medicines which you can consume after informing a camp leader.
