Kutch Beyond The White Desert

Updated: Jun 29, 2022

Whenever one says Kutch, then immediately a picture of ‘White desert’ strikes our mind. Being one of the biggest districts in the country, Kutch is known for its uniqueness and that is the ‘White desert’. Kutch region of Gujarat has a massive stretch of cracked earth and the nothingness for miles promises breathtaking landscape views.

Surely the White Desert is the main attraction call for tourists to visit Rann of Kutch. But apart from this, there is a lot more to it that the land of Kutch has to offer. And here’s why choosing Invincible for your Kutch trip will make a difference. It takes you to local and discrete places which haven’t yet come into the eyes of other travelers.

Kutch has many picturesque places which will grip you till the end of your trip.

So let’s start our 'Run' for Kutch, to explore the other side of it:

1. Adiyogi Statue

Everyone is aware of the Adiyogi Statue, the one in Coimbatore. But not many people know that we do have a replica of this statute. Yes, you heard it correctly. We have the same statue right here in Kutch near Bhuj.

It’s a road ride of 5-6 km from Bhuj which takes you to this statue. Seeing the mate black Shiva statue will just bring a sense of relief to you. The statue has a natural glow on it which makes you feel as if you are amidst a divine power. The sculpture is crafted in the middle of barren land and thus will appear as if the statue has emerged out of the land.

If you are a devotee of Lord Shiva then don’t worry, we have got this place covered for you.

2. Khari Nadi

Khari Nadi is not like any other river. It has a very unusual bodily appearance that will drive you towards it. The river is captured between flat mountain-like rock structures. You can walk up or inside these cave-like structures and get yourself closer to this amazing creation of the creator.

Doesn't it offer the feel of Caves?

Captured by rocks on all the sides, gives you a peek at the mystery that this place creates.

During the monsoon, these rocky caves get filled with water and don’t allow you to explore more. So apart from beautiful landscapes, Kutch also has a place for some new adventure that Invincible takes you to.

3. Chippar Point

Chippar point offers a view that might give you a recall of some movie scenes which were shot at a high cliff with the shore in front of it. This point is solely known for its edge which ends with a flat rock extended in the air. Travelers sit on this rock with legs freely swinging in the air at such a great height. The view in front of this point offers visuals in three layers blended with each other. First comes the blue shore, then comes the yellow sand which divides the shore from the greenery belt on your side.

Let your soul feel the wind of Kutch

Sitting on the edge with the shore in front will give you a feel as if this is what the ending of the earth’s land would look like.

Till 2019 not many people were aware of Chippar point. But it was in 2020 when a video of this place was posted by Invincible on social media and suddenly the place witnessed a footfall of 1000 plus visitors. Out of these, 900 were the participants of Invincible.

4. Dholavira Sunset Point

Most of us are aware of Dholavira through our school textbooks which taught us about the Harappan civilization. But let us tell you that apart from the archeological site, this city has more to offer. And this takes into account the sunset point which is not a normal sunset that we often witness.

Flamingos gracing your sunset

The sunset point of Dholavira will remind you of Bolivia’s Salt Lake. You can see the ditto reflection of the sky in the lake which exists at the sunset point. So seeing a sunset with a mirror effect will just blow up your mind. While you see the sun getting drowned in water, the flamingos head their way out by flying through this manifest scenery and adding more charm to your evening.

Such visuals are rare which creates a magical moment.

5. The Road Journey From Dhordo To Dholavira

A new road is being developed for better connectivity to Dholavira. The road goes through the Lake of Kutch covered on both sides. This road journey between the lake gives a very surreal feeling to the traveler. It has a vibe that is unmatchable as on both sides you have the company of white beauty on your way.

The surreal road!

This route has yet not been on google maps but Invincible has made its way to the road.

Thus, Kutch is beyond just a desert place, but it narrates stories of an era gone by and has some really scenic visuals to present us and make it unforgettable.
